spaghetti nights.

It’s one thing to crave spaghetti after not having it for a while, it’s another thing to have to have spaghetti.

How is it that with your education, experience, and brilliant mind, you’re here…having spaghetti dinner again.

One spaghetti night is tasty.
Two spaghetti nights is convenient.
Three spaghetti nights is humbling.
Four spaghetti nights is alarming.

While building towards your future of freedom, it may sometimes feel like you are living in a state of delusion.

Stay in the frequency of your faith.

You are still Power when your budget says “it’s a spaghetti night.”

The ingredients of becoming.

Enjoy these moments. The simplicity of solo spaghetti nights. The calm before your life picks up.  You are moving through a process of development. Though it may not always feel great, the evidence of your POWER is undeniable.

Rest for a moment in the significance of that statement.  Step outside of yourself and witness who you’ve become.

Your plan ran out of directions months ago, yet you continue to move forward in faith. You are fearless.

Move through the thick and heavy of this process confidently. You are not breaking into pieces.  The tears, the confusion, the heartbreak, the mental anguish, the uncertainty.

...these are the ingredients of becoming.

Your self-reclamation happened months ago.

You are already a Black Girl Champion.

Edit how you see yourself.

Look beyond the $.99 angel hair pasta with jarred marinara sauce and  ground turkey.  See through the translucent chopped onion, the coarsely cut green peppers, and the slight burn on your meatballs.

Honor the sparkle on your cheeks, the magic in your eyes, the Power of your presence, and the role of your lifetime as Black Girl Champion.

You came into this life to win, regardless of the circumstance.  You're in the midst of a challenging time, and that is okay.  Your faith is strengthening. Your heart is expanding.  Your mindset is shifting.  Your confidence is growing.

Just seeing the surface will make you feel defeated. You must see beyond what’s around you. See into yourself. Honor the light you carry.

See yourself as Worthy.
