Across the globe, Black Girl Champions are walking away from cycles that no longer serve them in preparation for 2026: Year of The Black Girl Champion — a global reclamation of Power. As you exit the 2025 stage, remember that you are The Editor.
The Editor (n):// a woman who purposefully changes and corrects her life’s composition.
You have full agency to remove misaligned people, places, or positions from your life story. You have ascended to The Champion Stage. Step out of timelines that no longer serve you and into a new standard.
The Black Girl Champion Standard
The Black Girl Champion reclaims ownership of her power by realigning her actions to meet the vision she has for her life.
A Proclamation
My intent is to draft this proclamation from a place of love, while offering space for the wisdom that flows from seasons of hardship and pain.
Oftentimes, we meet new years with resolutions that easily fall to the wayside. This proclamation offers you a road map towards a different experience. It is a pathway to the world of your imagination, a trail of self-discovery and reclamation.
This love offering begins with sisterhood.
On Sisterhood
Sisterhood is a covering. It is a safe space, filled with joy and honor and love.Young and seasoned, Black women across this country have poured into me without a second thought. These Black Girl Champions have led and walked alongside me, lending advice on life, career, friendship, romance, finance, leadership, beauty, self-ownership and more. This love pour has covered me, allowing me the opportunity to lead generations of Black Girl Champions with high confidence looking to God as my source of self-regard.

Each sister-bond is different, but the covering is the same. Sisterhood looks like cheerful hellos and warm hugs goodbye. It feels like a safe place to fall apart and come back together. It sounds like non-stop laughter mixed with silent understanding. Sisterhood looks like a bright light and smells of perfumed hopes of love everlasting.
It is unconditional love that grants you access to freedom. It is God love wrapped in girlfriend/homegirl form.
In 2026, you acknowledge your sisters, encourage their brilliance, and participate in sharing and spreading their light. They/we/she will do the same for you.
This is how we move, moving forward in sisterhood.
On Reflection
When’s the last time you looked yourself in the eye? Serious reflection. Interestingly enough, you’ve likely held eye-contact with a stranger, a lover, a friend, a colleague. Granting these individuals access to your power’s portal, yet looking into the distant background of your own reflection.
How can you desire understanding when you’ve avoided the daily opportunity to see yourself?

Let’s consider reflection from both definitions. How often do you reflect on your life? Where do you intend to go? Where and who do you go to for guidance? Do you trust the outside agenda more than you do your intuition? Who are you? What does your character reflect back to you? Think about this.
In 2026, you no longer move through life without guidance or understanding of your power. You have agency. You are the main character, the editor, the co-creator of your life story.
Reflect on the story you’re telling. Look back at the past year seeking clarity through prayer, quiet time, or meditation. After this reflection, make the necessary adjustments.
When you look in the mirror you should see your power. The only way to see your Power is to see yourself. Reflect.
On Imagination
Honor your imagination. If you can see it in your mind, you have the power to bring it into the world. Look around at the current state of our world. These conditions were all imagined, and are all optimal conditions for someone. But, are they optimal conditions for you? If not, then it's time you become the change you want to see.
Your thoughts and ideas are worthy of expression. The world is thirsty for something new and innovative. Your mind and thoughts are uniquely valuable. The way you process, the way you see and create pictures, the way you build worlds. You have a vision for a bright and abundant future.
In 2026, honor the vision you carry for your life. Create an action plan and take the necessary daily steps to see it through. And trust me, these steps don’t have to be perfect. Just step! You will soon find yourself standing in the world of your mind. Imagine it and go for it!
On Character Development
You are a non-fiction character, living a story that’ll only be told once. Allow yourself to develop and prepare to witness a beautifully abundant revelation of the power within you.
Embody high standards for your life.
Embody the energy of a Black Girl Champion.
Your character doesn’t settle for good enough.
Your character understands her worth.
Your character doesn’t quit when things are challenging.
Your character has the stamina to cross the finish line.
Your character doesn’t seek to embody someone else's expression.
Your character honors her personal power.
Your character doesn’t allow blocks to deter her from her promise.
Your character trusts her God guidance.
You move with clarity.
You move with integrity.
You move with class.
You move with power.
You are a builder of worlds.
You are a light in dark space.
You are a sparkle in dull rooms.
You are a finder of freedom.
In 2026, you are quite the character.
And that character is POWER.
On Faith
Faith and imagination go together. In fact, building the world of your imagination requires big faith.

What does this mean? You’re going to have to trust sky-daddy, because you can’t do it all alone. You’re in partnership with the creator. Trust. Move through the muddy waters of challenges in expectation of confirmed clarity. These trials build your faith muscle. Trust me, you need these muscles to be strong enough to carry your vision. If you think the vision of your imagination is possible without faith, go back into your mind's eye for the rest of it.
It is through prayerful guidance, inspired action, and moments of quiet reflection that you’ll notice how God walks alongside you throughout the journey. You’ll see how God supports and rewards you for honoring those guided whispers of direction.
In 2026, use faith to access and unlock your dreams, daily.
Faith is currency.
Faith is the key.
On Expression
Your expression is your light and the world needs more of it. I’m sure you’ve heard talks of this being a dark world. This revelation rings true only if we accept that as truth. To combat darkness in this world, you must express your light, your power without yearning for understanding. This requires courage.

Settling isn’t an option.
The romantic partners of Black Girl Champions must be emotionally mature leaders with the capacity to nurture and hold space for your power. Your partner must acknowledge your expression as a real life Power doll, as a Black Girl Champion. They must be able to stand beside you, without buckling, envy, or insecurity.
Settling in relationships hinder every area of your life. Yielding to a partner without guidance or sense of purpose, allows for someone without vision to lead you. You can no longer sacrifice your livelihood to be led by the blind.
In 2026, Black Girl Champions are walking away from relationships of complacency, lack, and delusion. You are trusting in yourself and more importantly, you’re trusting the guidance of your creator.
On Finance
There’s no such thing as a struggling Black Girl Champion. It’s time to get your money right. Plug into your source and trust that your gifts will make room for you. And know that they’re worthy of reward.
In 2026, create new avenues for cash flow and honor what flows in. Move with gratitude, get comfortable with numbers. Look at your accounts often, read articles about finance and money. You’ll begin to move like someone who respects money in 2026, because you will.

Black Girl Champions are not to be played with! That being said, don’t play with your health and wellness. Someone once said, whatever isn’t being measured isn’t being managed.
